Installation of the Agilent 4500 FTIR in Nutrition Lab of the INRSP

Under the Exclusive Breastfeeding Project, "MAU6 / 006: Use of Deuterium-labeled Water Technology to Evaluate the Impact of a Program to Promote Infant Feeding and Young Child (IYCF) in Mauritania ", involving INRSP, DSBN and IAEA.

Dr. Khalid EL KARI, Head of Nutrition and Food Unit of CNESTEN of Morocco, was appointed by the IAEA to carry out an expert mission to assist the Institute's Nutrition Research team National Research Institute for Public Health in Mauritania in the development of the study protocol and associated operational procedures for the development of this important project.

During his visit to the INRSP from 17 to 21 April 2017, Dr. El Kari was received by Professor Mohamed Abdallahi Ould Bollahi, Director of the National Institute of Public Health Research (INRSP) in the presence of Dr. Mostapha Kane coordinator of the PNN at the DSBN in the Ministry of Health.

Dr. EL KARI facilitated presentations on breastfeeding and after the installation of the Agilent 4500 FTIR, INBP teams from the DSBN conducted practical sessions.
