Installation of equipment for the diagnosis of Ebola virus disease by PCR techniques

In the context of strengthening the National Reference Laboratory of Virology in the diagnosis of Ebola virus disease by molecular biology techniques, and after availing of a full technical platform (rotor gene, glove.....) dedicated to handling with highly pathogenic virus, a team of BERNHARD Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine (Hamburg - Germany) consists of two experts: GERD RUGE and OUMOU MAIGA has visited INRSP from 22 to 26/08 / 2016 for the installation of equipment.

After installation and commissioning of the equipment, the staff of the Virology National Reference laboratory in INRSP has received training for the use of equipment and interpretation of results of diagnostic PCR assays for Ebola and other viruses responsible for viral hemorrhagic fevers that can be outstanding in the sub region.
