After five years of epidemiological surveillance of influenza coordinated by INRSP/DLM, a delegation of four CDC experts is visiting INRSP from July 31 to August 5, 2016.
During the meeting with the Directorate of INRSP, the Director, Dr Mohamed Brahim Elkory reviewed the different technical collaboration with the CDC and stressed the importance of extending to other areas interest in public health to improve the care of patients at our health facilities and respond to potential outbreaks.

While in Nouakchott, the mission will conduct an evaluation of the influenza surveillance system with its components; sites at the CHN, CHME and CS of the polyclinic and the influenza laboratory at the department of virology in INRSP. This assessment will be made using the CDC / Atlanta assessment guide.

The mission program includes meetings with the Ministry of Health (GS / MS, DLM, Sites of health facilities).

At the end of this assessment, a technical report will be presented to the Health Ministry to draw up a road map, if necessary, to improve the system of epidemiological surveillance of influenza in Mauritania.
