OpeningWorkshop on Epidemiological Surveillance of Influenza

A training workshop for the establishment of an epidemiological surveillance system of viruses responsible for respiratory infections and identification of the most vulnerable age groups to achieve to immunize was opened Wednesday, 07/29/2015 Nouakchott.


It is jointly organized by the National Institute of Public Health Research (INRSP) to the Ministry of Health and WHO.
The director of the INRSP, Dr. Mohamed El Kory Ould Brahim, revealed that his institution will, at first, to establish a viral surveillance system at the national hospital and the hospital mother and child.
He urged participants to benefit from training to succeed this experience to ratify global health commitments. Dr. Niang SaïdouDoro  the successor of, WHO, expressed the willingness of his organization to establish partnership in all that could lead to the promotion of public health, especially the epidemiological surveillance of influenza .
The event benefits 16 participants including doctors and nurses from national hospitals; regional delegation of mother-child health and epidemiological surveillance service.
